Every day, in order to
live, we need food, clothes, shelter, we need money, we have many needs. But the joy of living does not depend on external things. It springs from a pure and simple heart. This song, composed by two young Chinese Catholics from San Francisco, in a modern rhythm talks to today's youth about an ancient theme: our deep urge for true happiness. The best way to enjoy this song is to read part of Chapter 6 of Matthew's Gospel. |

The Joy of living (a
free translation of its lyrics) I live in this world searching for an exuberant life The more I think that riches is the most important thing, the more I feel that I posses too little. I live worrying so much that no matter how much I have, it is never enough. Is this the way of living I really want? The Lord said: this bird does not reap, But I feed him, that lily in the field does not need to work, And yet I adorn them all in such a manner. Ask yourself: is it because I have not been perfected enough That my life is so full of worries? Enjoy your life, do not think of any worries. Say: I only rely on Your protection, I ask You to soothe my heart. Now I have no worries, Because no matter how much I have, It is always enough. I entirely rely on Your guidance, to be able to follow You. The Lord said: you do not need to worry in such a way. make your life a happy one, endeavour to seek God's Kingdom and His righteousness.
